About Beyond Weather

Extreme weather is now common weather. This is hurting economies, businesses, and real humans. The need for reliable weather forecasts has never been more critical. The energy sector in particular is becoming more and more weather dependent due to the rise in renewables. At the same time, the weather forecasting market is rapidly changing with the boom of AI in weather forecasting.

Beyond Weather is a team of climate scientists and AI engineers spun off from the Climate Extremes research group at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. We combine the power of AI and climate science to make reliable weather forecasts, weeks and even months ahead, that allow governments, NGOs, businesses, and people worldwide to strengthen their climate resilience, saving money, resources, and lives.

Science is at the core of our identity. We’re committed to delivering impactful, real-world insights.

We’re looking for an experienced (Geospatial) Software Developer to join our team.
